The homeowner is responsible for arranging for the delivery of the proper amount of sand. The color of the sand does not matter so long as it is “washed” and containes no debris. Mason’s or builder’s sand is typically used. The sand should be dumped as close to the pool site as possible, but not over the site. Many pools will have extra sand remaining.
